Built Environment Economist – Infrastructure Projects

AIQS recently published their quarterly magazine, Built Environment Economist.

In one of the articles, members of the AIQS Infrastructure Steering Committee and selected NZIQS members were asked what the most interesting infrastructure project they have worked on and why, and their role in that project.

HKA Lead Consultant John Eaton talked about his role on the Transport for NSW M4 Smart Motorways project. Download the article or read it online in Built Environment Economist.

I worked as a Commercial Manager on the project and, together with my colleagues, the entire team worked to identify issues and emerging risks early, and to use the provisions in the GC21 form of contract to negotiate equitable solutions when resolving those issues and mitigating any emerging risks from the new technology.

An article authored by HKA’s Dafydd Wyn Owen and David Somek, titled Building Better Places Means Collaborating on the “Bigger Picture”, was also published in the December 2021 to February 2022 edition of Built Environment Economist.
