Why do you enjoy your role?

The sense of fulfilment you get when you find a new superstar to join the HKA team (and I have found plenty!). I enjoy the interaction with the vast amount of people I deal with, both that work at HKA and those we are hoping will join. I also love how I cover such a large area, as I can be speaking to someone in London in the morning, Philadelphia in the afternoon and Los Angeles in the early evening.

What makes you great at your role?

I would say my ability to build relationships with people both internally and externally. In my opinion, the key to success in recruitment is about being likeable and approachable, so someone wants to pick up the phone to you. Often, we may be the first impression a candidate gets of HKA, so it needs to be a good one! Plus, the endless hours spent on LinkedIn, a lot of hard work and great support from my colleagues.

Best aspects of working at HKA

HKA gives you the opportunity to develop your career. I started as a Resourcer, became a Recruiter and then progressed to Recruitment Manager in the four years I have been here. We also have some great people working at HKA, to learn from and to aspire to.

A personal quirk

I wear my heart on my sleeve, if I am feeling an emotion you will know about it! I also have a healthy cleaning obsession and an unhealthy buying clothes obsession.
