The Lighthouse Club

About the Cause

HKA is proud to support The Lighthouse Club, a global charity providing support for construction workers and their families. They receive no public funding and rely on the generosity of donations from supporters throughout the world to continue their life-changing work.

The charity also supports education and training initiatives within the industry and can even provide access to finance to re-train within the sector. In addition to this they also financially support disadvantaged young people or youth offenders through education programmes into construction.

HKA has supported The Lighthouse Club for several years, and will continue to do! Here are a few ways we have shown support to this amazing charity.

Crazy Skirt Day

Colleagues in Australia held ‘Crazy Skirt Day’ around offices to raise money for The Lighthouse Club.

Establishing the Lighthouse Club Midlands Committee

Rhiann Storey has helped establish and reform the Lighthouse Club Midlands committee since it was disbanded.

The aim of the Lighthouse Club Midlands is to become the biggest and the best networking group in the region, raising money and awareness of the multitude of issues facing the industry.

At What Cost? by Rhiann Storey

Rhiann Storey, Associate Director and Chair of the Lighthouse Club Midlands committee produced an article on support for construction industry workers, in which she discusses the mental health and how the Lighthouse Club can support individuals who are suffering.
