Meet at Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas
Teheran-ro, 521 Gangnam District
Seoul, South Korea
Join HKA during the Seoul ADR Festival on Tuesday, 29 October, for a fundraising walk through Seolleung and Jeongneung Royal Tombs. We invite all members of the arbitration community and local Seoul residents to walk with us as we raise money for Community Chest of Korea, a local charity that provides support to the underprivileged, including the disabled, the elderly, and children.
Community Chest of Korea has been a catalyst for change in Korean society for the past twenty years based on citizens’ voluntary participation. They support those who do not receive welfare benefits to satisfy their basic needs and help them emerge from poverty through living expense support, food sharing, and material support.
The leisurely walk will begin from the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas at 7:30am and end at Dotbukdambuk Seolleung 1st branch, where we will enjoy a traditional Korean breakfast at 8:30am.
For every person who joins the walk, HKA will donate to the Community Chest of Korea, and each participant will have a tree adopted in their name through Ecomatcher.
EcoMatcher is a Certified B Corporation that plants trees and complete forests with vetted foundations / NGOs from around the world specialised in planting trees. They take into account the entire ecosystem of their tree planting and the domino effect it has on the area’s biodiversity as well as on the surrounding communities and people.
They’ve created an integrated technology platform that consists of a trees’ data capturing app (TreeCorder), a blockchain and cloud-based system for viewing and managing trees’ data (TreeManager), and numerous ways to track trees on the web, EcoMatcher’s iOS/Android App and EcoMatcher’s App for Microsoft Teams.
Once a tree is adopted, you can:
• Explore each tree’s exact location in 3D
• Obtain comprehensive information about your tree
• Learn about the person behind the planting and care of your tree.
We look forward to welcoming all participants on the day.
