Ahmed is a mechanical engineer and construction planner.  He has acted as an appointed delay expert and as a lead delay expert assistant. His experience includes drafting expert reports and providing oral testimony in formal proceedings.

Ahmed’s construction industry experience has been gained working for contractors. He has worked as a planner, contract management engineer and project controls engineer, spending much of his time on site. He has been involved in construction disputes in Africa, Asia and the Middle East including oil and gas, waste, power, residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Ahmed regularly advises clients on matters of delay and disruption. His areas of experience include dispute avoidance and settlement negotiations. He has been invited as a guest lecturer at the British University in Dubai to speak about settlement of construction disputes and the role of the expert.

Ahmed holds a master’s in construction law and dispute resolution from King’s College London and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is a member of the Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers and the UAE Society of Engineers, and is a certified Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute.
