François Michaud is a mechanical engineer with over ten years of experience analysing delay and disruption on construction and engineering projects. He has been appointed as a delay expert on multiple occasions.
François has testified and been cross-examined as an expert witness in arbitration proceedings and has been appointed as an independent expert in litigation and adjudication. He has prepared expert reports for projects with values in excess to €2 billion and has assisted in the production of reports as lead delay analyst.
François has experience within various industries, including power and process plants, oil and gas facilities, retail and industrial developments, and buildings and infrastructures.
François has analysed delays and disruptions on complex construction and engineering projects. He has also provided independent expert opinion to contractors and employers on multiple occasions regarding extension of time, loss of productivity, acceleration, and other time-related matters.
François holds three master’s degrees in mechanical engineering, project management, and construction law, along with legal experience training advanced professional award in expert witness evidence and a civil expert witness certificate. He is a co-chair of the French public and private procurement committee for the Society of Construction Law France and is a member of the UK Society of Construction Law. François is bi-lingual in French and English.
