Haitham is a civil engineer with more than ten years of construction industry experience. He specialises in disruption analysis, forensic planning and project controls and has acted as a delay expert witness.

Haitham has a background in planning and project controls as both the main contractor and as a consultant. He provides planning, project and programme management, delay and disruption analysis and claims management services for main contractors and project owners.

Haitham has claims experience across the Middle East, Africa and the UK and has worked on a number of disputes regarding civil engineering, heavy industry, building, oil and gas and offshore projects. He is familiar with numerous standard forms of contract and is adept with all forms of planning software including Primavera Project Planner (P3), Primavera P6/P3e, Microsoft Project and Claim Digger.

Haitham has been appointed as a delay expert for a dispute regarding valuation of extension of time entitlement and enforceability of liquidated damages. He provided expert written and oral evidence to the arbitral panel and was cross-examined by counsel. Haitham has been awarded the EdExcel accredited legal experience training advanced professional award in expert witness evidence (LETAPAEWE).

In addition to holding a BEng in Civil Engineering, Haitham holds an MSc in Quantity Surveying and a LLM in Construction Law and Arbitration. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a member of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors, an incorporated member of the Chartered Institute of Building, a member of the Society of Construction Law and a member of the Guild of Project Controls.
