Kadir Varol is a civil engineer with nearly 15 years of experience. He has been appointed as a delay and programming expert on two occasions and has assisted the named expert numerous times.
Kadir has been involved in arbitration, litigation, and adjudication proceedings. He has assisted in analysing disputes and producing expert reports for hospitals, airports, infrastructure, power plants, and residential projects with disputed values of up to €2 billion.
Kadir has extensive on-site project experience ranging from airports, power plants, hydropower plants, a canal expansion, railways, tunnels, highways, and a desalination plant to hospitals, hotels, and high-rise buildings. He has worked across many global locations, including the Netherlands, Australia, Panama, Sweden, Slovakia, Oman, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Romania, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Russia, Uganda, and Tajikistan.
Kadir specialises in delay and disruption analysis, prolongation cost calculation, price adjustment, programming, and construction management. He has expertise in determining project critical paths, and identifying project risks, and has undertaken expert witness roles in construction litigation cases in the Netherlands.
Kadir is dual-qualified in construction law and civil engineering and is a project management professional with the Project Management Institute. He holds an advanced professional award in expert witness evidence and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Kadir is bilingual in English and Turkish.
