Kirsteen Cacchioli has over 20 years of experience in construction and engineering disputes. She has assisted the named quantum expert on more than ten occasions.
Kirsteen has acted as the lead assistant to the expert regarding quantum matters in adjudication, arbitration, and litigation. She has drafted expert reports and joint statements, including Scott Schedules to show areas of agreement and disagreement, attended meetings, and liaised with clients and legal teams.
Kirsteen is experienced in analysing documentation, preparing and understanding the contractual and legal matrix, and preparing reports and submissions in both claims and expert work. She gets quickly to the core of the relevant issue and provides focused and proactive assistance to the appointed expert. She effectively liaises between internal, client and legal teams to deliver a multi-disciplinary approach and utilises her drafting skills to present opinion in a clear and understandable way.
Kirsteen specialises in quantum expert support and the preparation and defence of claims and counterclaims. This includes the analysis and assessment of contractual obligations and requirements, contract and commercial reviews, and analysing costs. The expert appointments on which Kirsteen has assisted have included a major highways project in Europe, several cladding remediation schemes, a hospital project, a pier remediation scheme, and failed glazing on a commercial mixed-use development in Europe.
Kirsteen holds a degree in law. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Chartered Institute of Building, and the Society of Construction Law.
