Martin Bell is a Chartered Architect with over 35 years of construction industry experience. He has assisted the named technical expert on numerous occasions.
Martin has been cross-examined in arbitration and has provided expert support regarding major projects valued at up to US$20 billion across the Middle East. He has been involved in the preparation of expert reports regarding complex matters of code compliance, design process and control, and building defects on transport infrastructure, retail and hospitality projects.
Martin has delivered numerous projects from inception to completion including the undertaking of design reviews for complex projects, client liaison and contractor management. He has acted as lead architect on significant projects up to AED3.5 billion and has managed multi-disciplinary specialists’ groups on technically demanding projects.
Martin specialises in technical oversite, peer review and forensic analysis and investigation of multiple issues across complex projects. His broad expertise includes International Building Codes (IBC and NFPA/ British Standards) and commercial and project management processes under various procurement methodologies, developed during his many years of design and delivery. He has provided opinion on matters of compliance, failures in completion and interpretation of RIBA plans of works.
Martin is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Architects Registration Board. He has completed expert witness training regarding witness familiarisation and cross-examination with Legal Experience Training.
