Michael Ogus is a Chartered Architect with more than 20 years of construction industry experience. He has been appointed as a technical expert on 20 occasions.

Michael has delivered expert witness reports and support for disputed projects with values of up to £50 million. His architectural experience includes high-end and affordable residential, commercial, education and leisure projects. He combines architectural expertise with a strong knowledge of construction law.

Michael’s background includes the design and management of projects working in conservation areas and on listed buildings, and the design and build of multi-use buildings. He has a substantial record as a lead consultant for multi-disciplinary teams and is experienced in negotiating appointments in the UK, Europe and the Middle East

Michael specialises in design management and risk management procedures. He acts as an expert advisor on dispute resolution options including procurement, programming, and contract and liability issues. He has extensive experience in fire related matters on a range of building types including regulatory compliance, detailed forensic investigations, fire damage, fire risks associated with tall buildings, and passive fire protection.

Michael is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Architects Registration Board and the Society of Construction Law.
