Phil Roberts

Phil Roberts is a commercial and construction contract professional with over 35 years of experience. He has been appointed as a quantum expert on more than 30 occasions.

Phil has been cross-examined in arbitration, authored expert reports, and attended expert conclaves for a variety of buildings and infrastructure projects. He has also worked as part of a team of multidiscipline experts for major disputes.

For the first 20 years of his career, Phil worked as a quantity surveyor and commercial manager for contractors and property developers in Australia, Asia and the UK. This provided him with a detailed understanding of the commercial issues that can arise in the delivery of construction and civil engineering assets.

Phil’s expertise includes preparation of expert quantum evidence, commercial management, cost estimating and financial control, contract administration and procurement, along with the management of disputes and claims. His experience has equipped him to offer robust, practical advice to all parties engaged in the development, construction and ownership of projects.

Phil has more than 30 years of continuous experience as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a member of the Society of Construction Law Australia.
