Trevor Powers is a quantum expert and project manager with over 40 years of experience in the construction and engineering industries. He has authored expert reports and has been cross-examined in arbitrations.
Trevor’s expert experience includes quantum and delay appointments on buildings, infrastructure and power station projects valued in excess of £200m. He has also testified as a witness of fact for a complex rolling stock infrastructure project, which was bifurcated into four hearings.
Trevor has worked on many major projects around the world across a broad range of sectors, including building construction projects, infrastructure, oil and gas, and power in the UK, Europe, South Africa and North America. His experience includes commercial management and managing of disputes, arbitrations and adjudications, including instructing legal and expert services, disclosure, document management, and delay and quantum analysis.
Trevor began his career as a chartered surveyor, subsequently specialising in commercial management, contract management, and dispute resolution. He has worked at one of the big four consulting firms in South Africa, as well as heading up a contract management department for an engineering and construction company in Spain.
Trevor Powers holds a Masters in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution and a Masters in Construction Management. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and the Association of Project Managers (APM).
