HKA’s Ross Priday appointed to Aviation Ambassadors Group

HKA is delighted to announce that Ross Priday, Technical Director, has been appointed as an Aviation Ambassador by the UK Department for Transport, as announced today by the Rt Hon Keir Mather MP. This prestigious two-year tenure forms part of the government’s Generation Aviation programme, which aims to futureproof the aviation workforce by inspiring the next generation of talent and building a skilled, diverse pipeline for the sector.

From ground handling and airfield safety to commercial flying, customer service, and aviation law, the Aviation Ambassador programme raises awareness of the breadth of career paths available to suit every skill set and every passion.

The Aviation Ambassadors Group comprises ten volunteer industry leaders who act as role models, championing the sector and raising awareness of the wide range of career opportunities available. Through targeted outreach, social media engagement, and other bespoke initiatives, the Ambassadors work to raise awareness of the diverse career opportunities across aviation, with a focus on encouraging future pathways for underrepresented groups, to ensure aviation is an opportunity for all.

A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, Ross served in the Royal Air Force for 26 years, including as Chief Engineer for the RAF Aerobatic Team (The Red Arrows). His experience spans strategic safety leadership, complex programme delivery, and aviation systems management. Ross is also a published author on just culture, compliance management, and human factors, and regularly speaks at global aviation safety conferences.
