James Dawson is a data and AI specialist with over 20 years of experience turning complex, unstructured and fragmented data into trusted intelligence that supports better decisions.

He has worked across the full data lifecycle (integration, modelling, governance and executive reporting) and has deep expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem, evolving traditional SQL Server BI solutions into modern cloud and AI architectures on Azure and Microsoft Fabric. Having operated both as a consultant and as a senior in-house leader, James has delivered for financial services, private equity, logistics real estate, retail and government organisations, giving him a broad understanding of how data drives value in different commercial and regulatory settings.

Most recently he spent five years building enterprise data and AI capabilities for a global logistics real estate business. At HKA, as Head of Data and Innovation, James drives the adoption of advanced analytics, automation and AI to support the firm’s experts and clients.
