FIDIC Official Contract Users’ Conference

The Official FIDIC Contract Users’ Regional Conference is being staged online and delivered in-house on FIDIC’s NEW digital events platform in May 2022.

The event targets the global contract users’ community in each region and offers a unique opportunity to share progress on the application and use of FIDIC contracts internationally and across different regions. The conference will include participation from MDBs, private sector organisations and clients, government, engineers, contractors, investors, consultants, legal professionals and other stakeholders who have an interest in FIDIC contracts.

The platform will allow for enhanced networking opportunities as well and during the event, attendees will be able to join a series of discussion tables led by FIDIC experts.

This two-day event is a must-attend for all those working with FIDIC contracts in the world and bookings are open now.

A certificate of attendance will be provided to each conference participant which may be used for CPD verification in your local region.

Jason Weller, Quantum Expert

Jason Weller is a legally qualified Chartered Quantity Surveyor with 19 years of involvement in the engineering and construction industries. He specialises in quantum expert assessments, arbitration support, and the preparation and assessment of extension of time, prolongation and disruption claims.

Jason’s background as a Commercial Manager for one of the UK’s largest main contractors has provided Jason with a deep commercial awareness which he relies upon to provide practical advice and independent expert opinion to both clients and contractors. Whilst a Commercial Manager, Jason was responsible for both pre- and post-contract commercial functions including: tender strategy, preparation of contract documentation, risk management, contract administration subcontracting, submission and settlement of claims, dispute resolution, and financial reporting. In addition, Jason was involved in cost planning and value engineering of project engineering of projects which has afforded him the ability to quickly understand and assess technical engineering solutions.
