Hosted by HKA, the London Branch Committee of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), invite you to join for our next jointly hosted annual seminar, which is kindly hosted by HKA at the IDRC in London. Join us for this panel discussion on “Cryptocurrency and Finance Arbitrations: How can London remain a centre for new finance to embrace”, where leading arbitration practitioners will discuss what London needs to do to stay ahead.

Panel Members:


Saima Hanif KC, Barrister, 3 Verulam Buildings, has a practice that spans banking and financial services, commercial litigation, commercial judicial review, insurance and arbitration. She is a global expert in financial services and has a particular expertise in matters at the intersection of financial services and public law. She is listed in the legal directories across the UK, EMEA and Asia Pacific, where she is recognized for her ‘excellent judgement’, being ‘technically very gifted’ and her ‘great knowledge of the FS industry’. Saima was commended for Barrister of the Year at the Lawyer Awards 2021 and is listed as one of the Lawyer’s Hot 100 for 2022, which noted that her “practice has moved… into the super leagues”.


Charlie Morgan, Partner, Herbert Smith Freehills, is an international arbitration lawyer specialising in energy and technology disputes. He helps clients to resolve complex international disputes across a range of jurisdiction. Charlie advises energy and technology companies on a wide range of commercial disputes, including cross border disputes, fraud claims, and post – M&A, joint venture, and shareholder disputes. He is recognized as a “strong practitioner” and “key lawyer” in Herbert Smith Freehills’ international arbitration team by Legal 500 (International Arbitration UK) and was a finalist for the Rising Star in Innovation, Legal Week 2020 Award.


Olesya Prantyuk, Director, HKA, is a Chartered Certified Accountant with more than 10 years of experience in finance and accounting. She has been appointed as an expert and assisted the named expert on more than 25 occasions in matters of forensic accounting and commercial damages. Her high – profile cases include a freezing order application with values in excess of $2 billion and a valuation of a financial institution of $1.3 billion. As a native Ukrainian and Russian speaker, Olesya has been involved in matters regarding assets in Central Europe, Eastern Europe, and Asia. Olesya has completed an advanced professional award in expert witness evidence and is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
