John is a professional engineer with more than 15 years of heavy civils and construction industry experience. He acts as an expert in delay, quantum and technical matters and has been appointed on three occasions.
John has testified in arbitrations as a damages and scheduling expert regarding the construction of schools, community centres, government storage facilities and a pipeline project. He has been cross-examined as a witness of fact and has produced expert opinion reports.
John’s project management experience includes project costing and analysis, estimating, scheduling, and design development. He has a variety of sector experience ranging from infrastructure, oil and gas, and rail terminals construction projects in remote northern Canada, to specialized building projects in cities, including hospitals and data centers.
John specializes in data analysis and forecasting, including the modelling of costs associated with projects ranging from a $1.1 billion oil and gas project to a $65 million roadway infrastructure project. He also has created and managed an integrated schedule for the Calgary International Airport terminal expansion.
John is a registered engineer in Alberta and Ontario, Canada and holds a degree in structural and geotechnical civil engineering.
