Scott Wright has over 35 years of experience in security, risk and intelligence matters. He has been retained to undertake complex investigations on more than a dozen occasions.
Scott has spearheaded (under privilege) several multi-jurisdictional asset trace investigations and recovery efforts, one of which included tracking billions of pilfered dollars and identifying insider risks for mitigation. He led two highly sensitive top-bottom program reviews for private sector firms supporting the US Intelligence Community, recommending extensive new compliance and internal controls to obviate identified threats. Scott also provides risk advisory services to the high net-worth segment on countering digital, technical and physical security threats.
Scott has over three decades of US Intelligence Community (USIC) and Federal Law Enforcement experience, and a broad range of expertise, honed through various senior executive leadership roles within the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Directorate of Operations (DO) and the US Secret Service. At the CIA, he served as a five-time chief of station (COS) and deputy chief of station working throughout the Middle East Region and Europe; concurrently holding the title of director of national intelligence representative. He served as the third in command globally of the DO, and led complex organizations with large, multi-cultural workforces, billion-dollar budgets and high-risk stakes.
Scott specialises in geopolitical risk mitigation, business intelligence collection, investigative due diligence, counterterrorism, facilities and executive physical and technical security countermeasures, insider risk reduction, and digital threats. He is a proven contingency crisis planner and manager, and skilled at negotiating complex issues with senior foreign government officials and adversaries.
Scott is a member of Business Executives for National Security and has received numerous CIA commendations and exceptional performance awards for mission execution. He is fluent in English and has a strong working proficiency in Arabic.
