Wisani Bila

Wisani Bila is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 15 years of experience. He has been appointed as a quantum expert and has assisted the named expert on several occasions.

Wisani has testified in arbitration. He has assisted the quantum expert in adjudications and arbitration proceedings, and in alternative dispute resolution with disputed values of up to $48.8 million.

Wisani has held positions as a quantity surveyor and junior contracts manager with various contractors. His project experience includes residential, commercial, government low-cost housing developments, healthcare, education, and environmental facilities throughout South Africa and the Middle East.

Wisani specialises in disputes associated with power generation schemes. He has expertise in evaluation of quantum for delay, disruption and loss of productivity, disputed variations, termination cost, final account negotiation, assisting with the drafting of contracts, prolongation cost audits, and assessment of interim payments.

Wisani holds a master’s in construction law and arbitration. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and a Practicing Associate of the Academy of Experts.
