HKA is proud to announce that Senior Managing Consultant Manuela Gfrörer and Associate Director Luis Cintrón have been recognized for their outstanding performance in Delos’s 2025 Remote Oral Advocacy Programme (ROAP) cross-examination courses in Latin America (LATAM).  

Manuela Gfrörer won as Best Damages Expert in the ROAP LATAM course on cross-examination in damages, and Luis was recognised as a finalist for the cross-examination in construction course.   

These achievements underscore HKA’s commitment to excellence in advocacy and reinforce our expertise in delivering world-class dispute resolution support across global markets. 

Delos’s ROAP offers skill-based training and mentoring to arbitration practitioners and in-house counsel, hosting two annual courses that focus on oral submissions and the cross-examination of quantum experts across five regions. Following five months of teaching and practice sessions, the participants conclude the program with public cross-examinations before a panel of leading international arbitrators.

Manuela is a chartered accountant in our Madrid office, with over a decade of experience advising clients on damages in international arbitrations, accounting-related matters, and forensic investigations. She has acted in proceedings under ICSID, ICC, ICDR, CIMA, and SCAI and been involved in numerous commercial, post-M&A, and investor-state disputes with clients across various sectors, including energy, construction, oil and gas, transportation, technology, mining, and pharmaceuticals.   

Manuela has also worked on various complex international investigations, including forensic analysis into fraudulent and corrupt practices, embezzlement, inventory theft, and anti-money laundering issues within financial institutions. Having extensive international experience, she is fluent in German, English, Spanish, French, and Italian. Additionally, Manuela is an organiser and co-presenter for the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) Mexico and the German initiative of young arbitration practitioners (DIS40).

Luis Cintrón, based in our Miami office, is a licensed professional engineer in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Texas, and Puerto Rico with over 20 years of experience in construction project management. He has diverse experience in the construction industry, spanning both Latin America and North America. His expertise covers a wide range of sectors, including buildings, power and utilities, transportation infrastructure, and natural resources.

Luis is frequently called on to prepare expert witness reports for clients involved in arbitration related to project management, delays, and quantum disputes. Having earned a law degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, he is also a member of the Project Management Institute’s South Florida Chapter (PMI-SoFL) and the Asociación Latinoamericana de Derecho de la Construcción (ALDEC).
