​HKA Partner Michael Griffin receives 2026 CMAA Mid-Atlantic Lifetime Achievement Award

Michael Griffin is recognized for his lifelong contributions to construction management and industry leadership.

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA MAC) has selected Michael Griffin as the 2026 recipient of its CMAA MAC Lifetime Achievement Award. As Partner and Head of Forensic Technical Services, Americas, Michael leads HKA’s forensic engineering, architectural, and scientific practice. 

Michael’s distinguished career spans more than 50 years. He began as a Construction Engineer with the City of Philadelphia before spending over three decades at Hill International, ultimately serving as President of the Americas Region. He later joined HKA to establish and lead its Forensic Engineering, Architectural, and Scientific practice.  

Michael was inducted into the CMAA College of Fellows in 2024 and currently serves on the CMAA MAC Board of Directors, having previously served as MAC President and as a member of CMAA’s National Board of Directors. He is also active in several industry associations, including the Engineers’ Club of Philadelphia, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Women’s Transportation Seminar, and is a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Maryland.

Throughout his career, Michael has managed and supported the delivery of major building, transportation, and heavy civil projects across North America. He has conducted detailed analyses of construction issues and disputes, prepared expert reports, and provided credible expert testimony in federal and state courts, arbitration, and mediation.

The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes members who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, and long‑standing commitment to the chapter and the construction management profession. HKA Principal Rocco Vespe, last year’s recipient, presented the award to Michael at the 2026 CMAA MAC Awards and Scholarship Awards Gala, recently held in Philadelphia.
