Chris Johnson is a licensed architect and general contractor with over 35 years of experience. He has been appointed as a technical expert on more than 50 occasions.
Chris has testified in arbitration, litigation, and depositions regarding construction defect matters. He has produced multiple expert reports for disputes with values of up to $115 million.
Chris has expertise in the forensic evaluation of construction systems and finishes, architectural and contractor standard of care, accessibility design, structural design, and mechanical, electrical and public health design. His expert appointments have included residential, commercial, governmental, and institutional facilities, personal injury cases, and the remediation and repair efforts associated with complex construction defect claims.
Background
Chris has provided architectural and construction services, including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, site and space feasibility analysis, constructability reviews, value engineering, cost estimating, and agency coordination. He has served as architect‑in‑charge for a wide range of building types, including churches, hotels, multi-story office buildings, financial institutions, campus master plans, and custom and production housing developments.
Chris holds a degree in architecture and a National Council of Architectural Registration Boards certificate. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
