Fabian Lim is a quantity surveyor with over 10 years of experience. He has been appointed as a quantum expert on three occasions and has supported the named expert 29 times.

Fabian has provided oral testimony under the HKIAC and has been appointed as an expert on SIAC and VIAC arbitrations. He regularly leads teams to assist testifying experts on complex litigation and arbitration disputes under various jurisdictions. Fabian has prepared numerous expert reports on disputes with values of over $300 million.

Fabian specialises in contract management, construction claims, and dispute management. His expert appointments include providing contractual and quantum opinion on prolongation costs, overheads and profit and various other cost claims arising out of a delay in the construction of a railway project in Vietnam; a residential development in Singapore; and a residential and hospitality development in Thailand.

Fabian has provided commercial advice to various clients spanning the building, oil and gas, energy, and infrastructure sectors. His project experience covers Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Sudan, Oman, Qatar, Dubai, and Jordan.

Fabian is dual qualified with a master’s in oil, gas and renewable energy law and a degree in quantity surveying. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Society of Construction Law Singapore and an associate member of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, and the Energy Institute. Fabian currently serves as CPD committee for the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators.
