Background
Simon has a wealth of practical and operational knowledge across international aviation projects as both an airport client and a consultant. He has assessed the design and constructability of aviation facilities (particularly in an operational airport environment) and is widely experienced in phased terminal and runway development, and in aircraft pavement maintenance management.
Simon is a past chair of the British Aviation Group (Scotland Region). He holds a master’s in airport planning and management and has delivered various lectures regarding airport planning design and engineering bringing together technical theory with practical reality. His published work ranges from airport masterplans and feasibility studies to procurement strategies and simulations.
