Walied Abdeldayem is a testifying delay and disruption expert with over 25 years of construction industry experience. He has been appointed as an expert on more than 20 occasions.

Walied has acted as an independent delay and disruption expert in international arbitration, litigation and other dispute resolution proceedings. His experience includes matters conducted under ICC, DIAC, ADCCAC, SIAC, and ad hoc arbitration rules, as well as court proceedings in Canada, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and other jurisdictions. He has been instructed by contractors, employers, developers, public authorities and legal counsel in major and complex construction disputes, and has prepared expert reports on disputes with values of up to $550 million.

Walied specializes in forensic delay and disruption analysis, extension-of-time entitlement, acceleration, loss of productivity, concurrency, project controls, and critical-path scheduling. He is regularly instructed to provide expert opinions on the cause and extent of project delays, the impact of changes and disruptions, programme reliability, and the assessment of time-related claims in complex construction disputes. Walied’s opinions draw upon recognised industry methodologies, including Critical Path Method scheduling, prospective and retrospective delay analysis, Time Impact Analysis, windows analysis, as-planned versus as-built analysis, forensic programme reconstruction, and detailed project records analysis.
