Katerina Hoey is a Chartered Architect with over 25 years of construction industry experience. She has been appointed as a technical expert on more than 50 occasions.

Katerina has acted as an architect expert witness on a variety of technical issues in litigation and alternative dispute resolution. She has been appointed as a single joint party expert and has also assisted the named expert on numerous occasions.

Katerina has a varied design background and a portfolio of international experience including design management, coordination and contract administration of new-build, refurbishment and restoration projects. As an architect, she primarily worked on high-end residential projects, including with historic buildings, and has broad experience in the design and construction of urban regeneration projects in London, Beirut and the wider Middle East.

Katerina specialises in the forensic investigation and analysis of building defects, including those relating to fire safety. She also supports clients across a wide range of matters from professional negligence and regulatory compliance to design defects, planning, design management and contracts.

Katerina is a member of the Architect’s Registration Board, the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Academy of Experts and the Society of Construction Law. In addition to her architecture qualifications, she holds a master’s in Construction Law and regularly delivers lectures on professional practise in the architecture industry.
