Walied is a globally recognized delay and disruption expert with over 25 years of experience in the construction industry and approximately 20 years of experience advising on complex construction disputes across arbitration and litigation matters. He specializes in forensic delay analysis, extension-of-time claims, disruption and productivity assessments, acceleration-related damages, and project controls, including time and cost management, to support dispute resolution. 

Walied has extensive experience acting as a leading expert on high-value matters, supporting contractors, project owners, and legal counsel from early-stage claims through to expert evidence and testimony. His expertise spans major infrastructure, energy, aviation, and transportation projects, with a strong track record of delivering dispute advisory services across Canada, the United States, the Middle East, and Africa.

Walied has been appointed as an expert in numerous international arbitration and court proceedings, providing written and oral testimony and working closely with leading law firms on dispute strategy. His early career experience in structural design, planning, site operations, and project controls gives him practical insight into project delivery from design through completion. He also has expertise in building and leading dispute advisory practices across multiple jurisdictions.

Walied holds a Master of Laws in Construction Law and Arbitration from Robert Gordon University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Manchester, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Al-Azhar University. A published author on construction delay and dispute topics, he is accredited by the Academy of Experts and is fluent in both English and Arabic.
