Joyce Nkini-Iwisi joins HKA as Partner in the Investigations, FACD Practice in South Africa

HKA is delighted to announce the appointment of Joyce Nkini-Iwisi as Partner, joining the Forensic Accounting & Commercial Damages (FACD) practice in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Joyce brings close to 20 years of experience in investigations and compliance advisory services, having held senior leadership positions across Big Four firms, law practices, and global risk consultancies. She will be responsible for supporting the strategic growth of the FACD practice in South Africa and the broader Africa region. Her career includes roles at PwC and EY in East and Southern Africa, and at Rooth and Wessels in South Africa, where she served as the Head of Investigations and Advisory. Joyce joins HKA from Control Risks where she was the co-head for the Investigations practice across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

Joyce holds an MBA in International Business from Coventry University and a BCom in Accounting and Finance from Mzumbe University. She is a Certified Forensic Practitioner (SA), a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (SA), and has been trained by CHS Alliance (Geneva) in investigations into SEAH related matters.

Joyce is highly regarded for her ability to manage diverse teams and is known for delivering strategic growth for regional forensic practices. She has delivered excellent results on investigations into complex workplace-related matters, including investigations into human rights violations as well as cases involving safeguarding concerns, including sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH). She has provided expert witness testimony in both internal tribunals and supported matters in the high courts in Nigeria and South Africa. She has also created and reviewed integrity and compliance programs, provided training and awareness campaigns for “speak up” programs.
