Jack MacGiffert is a construction and project management professional with more than 40 years of industry experience. He has been appointed as both a delay and quantum expert on 27 occasions.

Jack has testified in both litigation and arbitration for disputed matters involving, quantum, cost, schedule, standard of care and productivity, with resultant delay and disruptions. He has been an expert witness for disputed values in excess of $3 billion.

Jack is an expert in the energy and industrial areas of construction with extensive project experience including nuclear and fossil power plants and industrial complexes, gained while working for more than 10 years for the world’s largest EPC firm. He serves as an author and instructor for the continued professional development of architects, engineers and contractors throughout the USA.

Background

Jack previously owned an environmental contracting firm that performed mold remediation, asbestos abatement and hazardous material remediation, which qualifies him as a hands-on environmental and project management expert. He also serves as a construction consultant to the insurance industry performing damage assessments, estimates and reports for claims involving property loss, business interruption, construction defects and subrogation. Jack’s consulting assignments have included power plants, industrial complexes, healthcare, educational, governmental, high-rise office, hotel, housing, military, theme park, transportation, retail and general commercial and residential projects.

Jack is a certified indoor environmental consultant, certified mechanical contractor, certified construction manager, LEED accredited practitioner and project management professional. He is a fellow of the Claims and Litigations Management Alliance and a member of the Construction Management Association of America and the Project Management Institute.
