Darcy Holderness​

Darcy Holderness is a professional engineer with over 20 years of experience. He has been appointed as a technical expert.

Darcy has testified as an expert at arbitration regarding engineering and technical root cause determinations, and has assisted in two major arbitrations as a factual witness and proper officer. He has produced expert reports on disputes with values of up to $2 million.

Darcy has delivered nuclear power, fossil fuel, and renewable energy projects covering all aspects of utility power plants, including fuel and waste handling, steam and water cycles, heat rejection systems, water treatment, air handling, and HVAC.  This includes over a decade of experience working with carbon capture, compression, transport, and storage systems. He has experience in siting power plants, initial project and organizational development, design review, contract negotiation and administration, construction oversight, commissioning, deficiency management, and operational support. 

Darcy specializes in disputes within the energy industry regarding major project delivery and engineering management. He has expertise in engineering standard of care, construction execution and oversight, and operational and maintenance planning.

Darcy holds a degree in mechanical engineering. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers Saskatchewan, the Project Management Institute, and the Canadian Nuclear Society.

Ashley Gonzalez

Ashley Gonzalez is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) with over 15 years of experience. She has been appointed as a damages expert and assisted the named expert on more than 100 occasions.

Ashley has testified at deposition and has provided analysis of financial, economic, and damage issues in litigation and other business dispute matters. She is involved in all stages of the litigation process, from assisting with discovery and managing the team to drafting expert reports and preparing the named damages expert for deposition and trial.

Ashley has served clients ranging from small, privately owned businesses to Fortune 500 corporations. She has consulted with companies across a wide variety of industries, including telecommunications, medical and pharmaceutical, consumer products, sporting equipment, internet and software, oil and gas, financial services, entertainment, and technology.

Ashley has experience for both plaintiffs and defendants on matters involving patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, trademark infringement, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and valuations, among others. She has performed damage calculations, including lost profits, reasonable royalties, and price erosion.

Ashley holds a degree in finance and is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

Chelsea Cullum

Chelsea Cullum is a Certified Management Accountant with over 15 years of experience.

Chelsea has testified before various federal courts and boards of contract appeals regarding damages and government contracts. She has assisted clients with procurement analysis, forensic accounting and investigations, litigation support, and compliance analysis on hundreds of matters with amounts in dispute exceeding $2 billion.

Chelsea has experience with government regulations and statutes, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), the False Claims Act, and the Truthful Cost or Pricing Data statute (formerly known as “TINA”). She has advised contractors on compliance and government audits and assists with Service Contract Act (SCA) and Davis-Bacon Act (DBA) compliance, as well as labor mapping issues.

Chelsea has expertise in developing and analyzing disputes and REAs, conducting cost realism analysis in bid protests, supporting contractors in terminations for convenience, and conducting investigations related to alleged fraud and defective pricing. She has calculated and rebutted damages claimed in False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Act matters. Chelsea has also assisted clients in commercial litigation, providing expert analysis in areas such as economics, finance, and accounting, particularly for breach of contract and other commercial disputes. 

Chelsea is a Certified Fraud Examiner. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Institute of Management Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Chelsea also served as an adjunct professor at the George Washington University School of Business, where she taught a graduate-level course on pricing and cost issues in government contracts.

Armando Chavez​

Armando Chavez has more than 25 years of experience in financial, economic, and litigation consulting. He has been retained as a testifying expert on damages in nine matters and has provided damages and valuation expertise in over 100 consulting engagements.

Armando has testified in litigation at federal and state court proceedings regarding patents and other complex business disputes. ​​In matters where he served as a testifying expert, he analysed complex financial records, quantified damages, and prepared expert reports in disputes involving damages claims with values up to the hundreds of millions of dollars​.

Armando has consulted in matters involving Fortune 500 corporations, multinational enterprises, and small to mid-sized businesses. His experience spans a broad range of industries, including consumer electronics, telecommunications, retail products, oil and gas, medical and pharmaceutical, sporting equipment, internet and software, healthcare, automotive, computer storage and networking, construction, financial services, chemical, advertising and entertainment, packaging, and semiconductors.

Armando is a certified valuation analyst (CVA) and master analyst in financial forensics (MAFF), both credentials awarded by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). He also holds a certificate of educational achievement in commercial damages and lost profits from NACVA. Armando is a member of NACVA and the Licensing Executives Society (LES).

David Paris

David Paris is an economist with over 35 years of experience. He has been appointed as a damages expert on over 50 occasions.

David has testified at arbitrations and commercial litigation in the US District Court and before the American Arbitration Association (AAA), and the US International Trade Commission (ITC) regarding damages, valuation, and competition matters. He has also addressed economic issues related to remedial orders in section 337 investigations before the ITC.

David has conducted economic research and analyzed business strategies and performance of individuals and groups of firms in a wide range of industries, including high technology, franchises, industrial and agricultural machinery, financial services, consumer products, and automotive parts. He also has experience in cost–benefit analysis to evaluate the likely effects on competition and market outcomes from proposed changes in existing and draft government regulations.

David specialises in disputes involving patent, trademark, and copyright infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, fraud, employment, and antitrust violations. He has supported clients on disputes involving lost profits, unjust enrichment, benefit of the bargain, and reasonable royalty damages, as well as on economic issues relevant to granting an injunction, including irreparable harm, secondary considerations of non-obviousness, and the calculation of actual and intended loss under the federal sentencing guidelines.

David holds a master’s degree in economics. He is a member of the Licensing Executives Society, the International Trade Commission Trial Lawyers Association, the National Association for Business Economics, an associate member of the American Bar Association, and an auxiliary member of the National Bar Association.
