​Elizabeth Buchanan​

Elizabeth Buchanan is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years of experience. She has assisted the named expert on numerous occasions.

Ashley Gonzalez

Ashley Gonzalez is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) with over 15 years of experience. She has been appointed as a damages expert and assisted the named expert on more than 100 occasions.

Ashley has testified at deposition and has provided analysis of financial, economic, and damage issues in litigation and other business dispute matters. She is involved in all stages of the litigation process, from assisting with discovery and managing the team to drafting expert reports and preparing the named damages expert for deposition and trial.

Ashley has served clients ranging from small, privately owned businesses to Fortune 500 corporations. She has consulted with companies across a wide variety of industries, including telecommunications, medical and pharmaceutical, consumer products, sporting equipment, internet and software, oil and gas, financial services, entertainment, and technology.

Scott Cragun has over 25 years of experience in financial and litigation consulting. He has been appointed as a damages expert on numerous occasions.

David Paris

David Paris is an economist with over 35 years of experience. He has been appointed as a damages expert on over 50 occasions.

David has testified at arbitrations and commercial litigation in the US District Court and before the American Arbitration Association (AAA), and the US International Trade Commission (ITC) regarding damages, valuation, and competition matters. He has also addressed economic issues related to remedial orders in section 337 investigations before the ITC.

David has conducted economic research and analyzed business strategies and performance of individuals and groups of firms in a wide range of industries, including high technology, franchises, industrial and agricultural machinery, financial services, consumer products, and automotive parts. He also has experience in cost–benefit analysis to evaluate the likely effects on competition and market outcomes from proposed changes in existing and draft government regulations.

David specialises in disputes involving patent, trademark, and copyright infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, fraud, employment, and antitrust violations. He has supported clients on disputes involving lost profits, unjust enrichment, benefit of the bargain, and reasonable royalty damages, as well as on economic issues relevant to granting an injunction, including irreparable harm, secondary considerations of non-obviousness, and the calculation of actual and intended loss under the federal sentencing guidelines.

David holds a master’s degree in economics. He is a member of the Licensing Executives Society, the International Trade Commission Trial Lawyers Association, the National Association for Business Economics, an associate member of the American Bar Association, and an auxiliary member of the National Bar Association.

Barry Bell

Barry Bell has more than 30 years of experience consulting on the analysis and quantification of damages in commercial litigation matters. He has been appointed as an expert on more than 100 matters and has provided critical damages and economic analysis on more than 400 matters.

Barry has testified in arbitration and litigation before state and federal courts regarding damages and economic issues in intellectual property and other commercial disputes. He has produced more than 100 expert reports on disputes with values of up to $1.4 billion.

Lance Gunderson

David Tenenbaum

David Tenenbaum has over 25 years of experience in economic and financial assessment of intellectual property and other intangible assets. He has supported testifying experts and client legal teams on numerous high-stakes disputes.   

David has led litigation engagements involving patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters. He has formulated and built complex damage quantification models, drafted expert reports and rebuttals of opposing expert reports, and supported expert witnesses for deposition and trial testimony.  

David has completed over 200 client assignments in litigation, transactional, tax, and insurance-backed lending settings. In tax planning and controversy contexts, David has conducted numerous valuation studies and authored reports to support clients’ compliance for related-party transactions involving IP rights, marketing intangibles, and professional services. He held a senior position at a leading insurance broker in connection with an IP-backed lending offering, overseeing a team that analyzed the risk profile and economic value of borrowers’ proposed IP collateral to assist carriers in their underwriting. 

David’s expertise includes damages-related discovery planning and execution, accounting and financial analyses for assessing liability and damages issues, and evaluation of settlement positions and offers. He has supported clients in the valuation of IP and other intangible assets in a variety of transactions, including licensing, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, bankruptcy and reorganization.  

David holds a degree in industrial engineering and a master’s of management with concentrations in finance and marketing. He is a longstanding contributor to the International Trademark Association, where he has served on several key committees and spoken at major conferences. David served as an advisory council member of the Master of IP Management and Markets program at the IIT Chicago Kent College of Law. He has also published thought leadership articles and presented to professional groups on IP valuation, financial reporting and tax aspects of IP-rich transactions, and economic damages in IP litigation. 

Mohamad Hussein

Mohamad Hussein is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner with over a decade of experience. He has been appointed as an expert and has assisted the named expert over 50 times with total claim values exceeding $8 billion.

Mohamad has testified in international arbitration, led complex investigations, and provided expert reports in high-value commercial disputes before the DIFC, ICC, LCIA, ICSID, Capital Market Authority and Canadian Courts. He has been involved in investigations with values in excess of $3 billion and delivers reports in both English and Arabic.

Michael J. Lasinski

Michael J. Lasinski has over 30 years of experience consulting on the financial aspects of intellectual property and commercial disputes. He has been appointed as an expert on hundreds of engagements regarding intellectual property matters, SEP and FRAND licensing, large corporate transactions and joint ventures, bankruptcy matters, tax issues, corporate valuations, and economic damages analyses among others.

Michael has testified in various prestigious courts, including the US District Court, the International Trade Commission, the High Court of Justice of England and Wales, the Chancery Division, State Courts, and arbitration proceedings. Most recently, he served as the president of the Licensing Executives Society International. He has lectured on intellectual property valuation for university business schools, law schools, the USPTO, and other regulatory agencies.
