ZAFFER KHAN

Zaffer Khan is a Chartered Engineer with over 25 years of process and construction industry experience. He has acted as a technical expert on 10 occasions.
Zaffer has experience in adjudication and arbitration, acting on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants, as well as government agencies. He often works closely with delay, quantum and damages experts to provide a comprehensive service for clients involved in large complex construction disputes.
Zaffer has experience of site and plant operations and an advanced knowledge of project engineering, project management, operational process design, safety, environmental engineering, and risk management. He has worked on many major projects, as a technical consultant and legal expert witness across Asia, Europe (including Russia) and the Middle East. Zaffer acts as an expert in chemical and process safety engineering matters.

TREVOR POWERS

Trevor Powers is a quantum expert and project manager with over 40 years of experience in the construction and engineering industries. He has authored expert reports and has been cross-examined in arbitrations.
Trevor’s expert experience includes quantum and delay appointments on buildings, infrastructure and power station projects valued in excess of £200m. He has also testified as a witness of fact for a complex rolling stock infrastructure project, which was bifurcated into four hearings.
Trevor has worked on many major projects around the world across a broad range of sectors, including building construction projects, infrastructure, oil and gas, and power in the UK, Europe, South Africa and North America

James’ practice covers a wide range of technical disputes from construction and engineering, energy and power, shipbuilding and offshore structures, and commercial disputes to telecommunications and IT disputes. James has wide experience of domestic and equivalent international PFI/PPP and outsourcing contracting, acting for contractors and private and public employers.
Much of James’ work is international in nature and throughout his career he has advised on disputes in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australia and across Asia. James has wide experience in international arbitration (ad hoc as well as major institutional international rules). James represented PTT, the Thai government-owned oil major, before the UK Supreme Court in Triple Point Technology, Inc v PTT Public Company Ltd [2021] UKSC 29, a case that has been the subject of considerable interest in the UK and worldwide.
