2023 Groundbreaking Women in Construction

HKA looks forward to attending the 2023 Groundbreaking Women in Construction (GWIC) conference on May 11 and 12 in San Francisco. Now in its 20th year, the conference has grown into the leading talent development and networking event for construction industry professionals.

HKA Partner Seyran Celik will be moderating an hour-long panel discussion titled “Future Shock is Now—Women Lead Through New Levels of Project Risk” on May 12 at 8:35 AM PT. During this discussion, a panel of women risk management experts will outline the unprecedented risks today’s construction projects and their teams are facing and how industry participants can ensure the best possible outcomes.

This year’s conference features multiple panel and breakout sessions, a luncheon, keynote speeches, and exhibits. There will also be plenty of opportunities for networking with industry colleagues. HKA hopes to see you there!

Seyran Celik, Partner

Seyran is a civil engineer, construction claims advisor, and forensic schedule analyst who has provided expert services for matters in arbitration, litigation, and mediation. She has been retained as a delay and disruption professional by domestic and international contractors, owners, A/E firms, and law firms and has assisted internationally acclaimed delay and quantum experts on multibillion-dollar construction projects in the United States, Europe, Australia, and Latin America. She also has significant project management and design experience as a geotechnical engineer with expertise in the analysis of shallow and deep foundations, slope stabilization, ground improvement, and roadways. In addition to her professional responsibilities at HKA, Seyran also chairs the firm’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee for the Americas region.
