Delay presentation by Dimitrios Tousiakis will provide a practical guide to the common delay analysis methods and focus on the differences between the Retrospective Critical Path and the Contemporaneous Critical Path.
Quantum presentation by Igor Corelj will explain why the critical path matters in terms of money and the quantum tricks behind deriving the appropriate daily rate of prolongation costs.
Michael Tonkin will be moderating the event by engaging the audience with Q&A session. HKA welcomes questions before, during and after the event.

Michael is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Chartered Arbitrator, CEDR Accredited Mediator, RICS Accredited Expert Witness and testifying Expert Witness in quantum with nearly 35 years of experience in the construction industry. He acts as an expert witness in quantum and has been instructed around fifty times as a party appointed Expert Witness, a single joint Expert Witness and a Third Party Expert Evaluator on disputes up to US$4bn in value. He has given oral testimony many times in traditional cross-examination as well as concurrent evidence/hot-tubbing. Michael is a Who’s Who Legal (WWL) Global Elite Thought Leader.

Dimitrios Tousiakis is a Testifying Delay Expert and Partner of HKA, based in Dubai. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer and an RICS Accredited Expert Witness with international experience in forensic delay analysis for dispute resolution and directly in the construction industry.

Principal, Quantum Expert
Igor Corelj is a Structural Engineer and a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 16 years of experience in the international construction industry. He has acted as a quantum Expert on ten occasions and has assisted on more than 20 complex engineering and construction arbitration matters, including power and oil & gas projects in several African countries.
