Institute for Energy Law (IEL) 75th Annual Energy Law Conference  

HKA Partners Tim Chitester, David Bones, and Michael Cuevas are speaking at the 75th Annual Energy Law Conference, sponsored by the IEL. This hybrid conference takes place on February 22 and 23 in-person in Houston or online. As the world’s longest running energy law conference, the event brings together legal leaders and other professionals in the energy industry for two days of educational programming covering the oil, gas, and renewables sectors.  

Tim and David are presenting “Energy Industry Headwinds Leading to Insolvency and What’s Next” on February 23 at 9:00 AM CT. They will discuss the business headwinds and other challenges that impact the energy sector, examine case studies where applicable, and explore how the impacts of these challenges may exacerbate ongoing insolvency issues in the sector. 

Also on February 23, Michael is speaking on “Crisis Management and Lessons Learned” alongside Ben Patton of Reed Smith LLP and Stacy Williams of Symmetry Energy Solutions, at 10:45 AM CT. Their session will examine best practices for navigating an ongoing crisis, as well as strategies for implementing lessons learned to help companies prepare for the future.
