HKA is excited to sponsor New York Arbitration Week 2022 as it celebrates its fourth consecutive year. Jointly led by the New York International Arbitration Center (NYIAC) and the New York Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArbNY), the event takes place from November 14 to 18 at a variety of venues in New York City. NYAW 2022 brings together speakers from around the world to share information and insights on the latest developments, promote professional development, and provide an opportunity for networking. HKA Partner Tracy Doyle looks forward to connecting with colleagues, clients, and friends at this year’s event!
This year’s theme, “International Arbitration: Who’s in Charge,” focuses on shared responsibilities in international arbitration. Topics include the allocation of responsibilities between courts and arbitral tribunals on the most sensitive issues in an arbitration, the role of users, how courts in various regions contribute to the development of international arbitration, limits to party autonomy created by arbitration institutions or tribunals, and the work being done by UNCITRAL.
