Alan Wakim is a Civil Engineer and Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 10 years of experience. He has been appointed as a quantum expert and assisted the named expert on several occasions.
Alan has acted as an expert for matters in both local and international arbitration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He has provided expert opinion for a variety of quantum related matters on disputed infrastructure, industrial and power projects with values of up to $200 million.
Alan’s experience includes on-site contracting, cost management, and claims preparation roles on complex infrastructure projects such as rail, airports, and high‐rise towers. His involvement has ranged from preparing and assessing change orders, analysing cost reports, and identifying and preparing construction claims.
Alan specialises in performing quantum analyses on large-scale construction disputes. This includes calculating loss of productivity and disruption, and prolongation costs for large data sets often working with complex data and to difficult deadlines.
Alan holds a bachelor’s in civil engineering and a master’s in quantity surveying. He is a member and registered expert witness of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and is bi-lingual in English and Arabic.
