Alex has worked across a broad range of sectors including industrial, roads and bridges, education facilities, hospitals, residential, oil and gas, retail and commercial projects across Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. His clients have included contractors, governments, health boards, housing associations, local authorities, architects, project managers and private clients.
Alex has over 40 years of hands-on experience as an engineer, both in the design office and on-site. He has managed, designed and supervised building structures and civil engineering projects in the UK and also has supervision experience in the Middle East.
Alex Currie is a fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, a member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation and a member of the BSI Committee for Eurocode 6, BS EN – 1996, the Design and Use of Masonry. Between 2005-2017 he was an approved certifier, as defined by the Structural Engineers Registration Scheme operated by the Institution of Structural Engineers.
