Hansell is a forensic accounting and quantum expert with over 19 years of experience in the construction and engineering industries.
Hansell has led expert commissions relating to troubled commercial and residential real estate developments, universities, hospitals, and heavy civil infrastructure projects. He has also provided expert witness support at mediations, arbitrations and trials on disputes in excess of US$50 million on projects valued up to US$2 billion.
Hansell has worked on projects in Europe, the Middle East and North America. He has experience in buildings, defense, industrial, infrastructure, oil and gas, power and utilities, and technology. He has a particular focus on construction of large capital projects for clients including EPC contractors, utilities, government contractors, financial institutions, insurers, and manufacturers.
Hansell has consulting experience assisting clients on matters involving long-term capital projects, including those requiring dispute resolution assistance and led teams analyzing and validating complex economic damages. Within the construction and government contracts industries, Hansell has experience in claims and change order pricing, construction cost accounting, productivity analysis, and procurement process optimization.
Hansell holds a BS in Business Administration and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBar), and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Hansell has undertaken two National Institute of Trial Advocacy programs.
