Jeffrey Kuehn is a mechanical engineer with more than 30 years of experience. He has been retained as a forensic technical expert on numerous occasions.
Jeffrey has testified in court, arbitration, and deposition. He has led teams in developing and executing investigations, report writing and legal preparation regarding best practise and measuring performance against established benchmarks.
Early in his career, Jeffrey led the design and construction of multi-million-dollar projects to deliver them on time and within budget. His responsibilities included preparing mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) bids, overseeing MEP project development, performing quality assurance and quality control reviews of MEP documents, managing the performance of contractors, and training and supervising MEP personnel.
Jeffrey’s forensic engineering expertise includes HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. He has evaluated sites of failure or accidents to identify origins and cause and provided expert reports for dispute resolution. He is a building information modelling (BIM) expert and is also adept at preparing and presenting technical materials for non-technical audiences.
Jeffrey is a registered professional engineer in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, South Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin. He is a National Association of Fire Investigations certified fire and explosion investigator.
