Kamyar Beihagi

Kamyar Beihagi is an architectural engineer with more than 20 years of construction industry experience. He has been appointed as an expert in technical, delay and quantum matters.

Kamyar has testified in arbitration and deposition and is experienced in litigation and alternative dispute resolution practices. He has prepared numerous expert reports and rebuttals (including Rule 26 compliant reports) and has participated in over 40 mediations.

Kamyar has an extensive background in representing a Fortune 500 mechanical contractor as in-house claims consultant for both affirmative and defensive matters, including negotiations and amicable settlements. He has also served as an onsite claims consultant representing a consortium of international general contractors for the construction of a $1.5 billion liquified natural gas re-gasification plant in Baja, Mexico. Kamyar has worked on a variety of high-profile projects across North America, South America and the Middle East related to power generation, oil and gas, industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, transportation, and buildings.

Kamyar’s experience includes hands-on involvement with complex and challenging design and construction disputes including delays and acceleration issues, design modifications, defective specifications, scope disputes, loss of productivity and disruptions, evaluation of entitlement, standard of care and best practices, quantification of damages, and administration of contracts. He has supported clients ranging from state and federal government agencies, law firms, and financial and insurance firms to mechanical and electrical contractors, design engineers, developers, and private owners.

Kamyar is a project management professional (PMP) and a certified cost professional (CCP). He is a member of the Project Management Institute and the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International. He has authored and presented papers on windows delay analysis and has significant experience in project management and claims consulting training and mentorship.
