Nasir Khan is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and engineer with more than 20 years of experience. He has been appointed as an expert in quantum, delay and engineering matters on 20 occasions.
Nasir has led negotiations, written expert reports and has provided opinions and expert advice on contract performance for a variety of arbitration and adjudication proceedings. He has acted as a lead expert for engineering, energy and construction disputed projects with values of up to £6 billion.
Nasir has worked for contractors, consultants and clients across a range of construction projects in the energy, utilities, commercial property, oil and gas, manufacturing, ports, highways and rail sectors. He has led large and complex procurement programmes, with experience of drafting and administering all major forms of construction contracts, and provided advice on JCT, NEC, ICC and FIDIC.
Nasir specialises in construction law and contractual disputes as well as identifying technical project issues. He has significant experience of public procurement law and procurement challenges. He undertakes analysis of variations and project change and provides expert opinion to support settlement negotiations.
Nasir is a Chartered Procurement Specialist and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors and is a member of the Pakistan Engineering Council. He has written numerous articles, regularly lectures on construction disputes, and is on the approved faculty for arbitration and mediation for the RICS and CIArb. He is Chair of the Construction Industry Council Liability Panel, Vice Chair of CIArb Pakistan Branch, and is bi-lingual in English and Urdu, with professional proficiency in Arabic.
