Shaping the World: HKA celebrates 200 Years of Engineering Excellence at ICE’S Impressive Book Launch

The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) launched Shaping the World to commemorate 200 years of engineering excellence at the historical library of the ICE’s headquarters in the City of Westminster, London, on 21 September where HKA was in attendance.

HKA, one of the world’s leading providers of consulting, expert and advisory services, features in the Smart Infrastructure section (p391) of this beautifully designed book. Shaping the World showcases 200 structures and engineering projects around the world that have had the greatest impact on people’s lives, and celebrates the individuals and organisations that deliver the vital infrastructure we all rely on to live, work, learn and play.

The publication is of the highest quality in research, writing and design, and explores not only key stories of inspired engineering, but also sheds light on the major industries and commercial sectors that surround the discipline.

As well as boasting striking images that convey the magnitude and splendour of the featured projects, the book serves as a carefully curated guide to some of the world’s best architects, designers, engineers. consultants, environmental firms, industry-related educational institutions and other organisations in the construction and engineering industry.
