HKA SPONSORS WORLD ECONOMIC LEAGUE TABLE 2018

HKA, one of the world’s leading providers of consulting, expert and advisory services for the construction, manufacturing, process and technology industries, is proud to be one of the sponsors of the World Economic League Table (WELT) 2018, a report and database with forecasts and rankings for 192 countries to 2032.

Published by Global Construction Perspectives in association with the renowned Centre for Economics and Business Research, WELT provides clear insight into the world economy and the growth prospects and rankings for each of 192 countries to 2032. Other sponsors include the Chartered Institute of Building, AON, Autodesk, Ghella, and RLB.

The report gives forecasts for growth in all countries to 2032 as well as predictions for inflation and currency exchange. It also provides an analysis of the main drivers for growth. A separate database provides annual data for each of 192 countries over a 30-year period from 2002 to 2032.

Some of the themes included are the influence of low energy prices, the impact of climate change, the power of smart technologies and the new digital revolution, and how urbanisation is changing the shape of the world.

In 2032, more than half of all construction activity globally will be carried out in Asia-Pacific and around two-thirds will be undertaken in emerging markets across Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, Eastern Europe and emerging Asia. The contribution made to world GDP from construction and infrastructure will rise to around 15% of world output in 2032, providing a great challenge for the sector.

Renny Borhan, Partner and CEO, HKA said “WELT is a widely-recognised and hugely influential league table that provides invaluable awareness of the world economy. We are delighted to be one of its sponsors.”

“The growth predictions that WELT compiles and publishes for each of the 192 countries provides businesses with necessary insight and useful data in helping them determine or redefine their global expansion strategies.”

HKA’s global portfolio includes some of the world’s largest and most prestigious projects across a wide range of market sectors that include buildings, industrial, infrastructure, oil and gas, power and utilities, and technology. The company supports clients responsible for some of the world’s most iconic, large-scale and complex projects.
