HKA is delighted to work in collaboration with Delos to deliver a series of training events that will help develop the next generation of law firm advocates, as well as HKA’s next generation of expert witnesses.
The ROAP Asia – 2021 Edition programme is the first of this year’s programmes covering Asia, EMEA and Latin America. It brings together the next generation of testifying experts with the next generation of international arbitration advocates, overseen by leading practitioners. Mentees in the programme are set to gain theoretical and practical knowledge of advocacy and particularly cross examination of experts.
As well as sponsoring the event, HKA’s Jonathan Humphrey, Hamish Egan, Olesya Prantyuk and Michael Laming will be actively participating in the Asia sessions. Jonathan will be teaching a segment on how to work with experts for a hearing, and Hamish, Olesya and Michael will act as experts in the practical sessions. Colin Johnson sits on the global steering committee for the ROAP programme.

Jonathan is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience in forensic accounting. He has been appointed as an expert more than 50 times in commercial and investment treaty cases, dealing with matters of damages and quantum.
Colin Johnson
Partner, Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages
Colin has over 30 years of experience including acting as a lender, equity investor, developer, and legal and financial adviser. He has been appointed as an expert witness on more than 50 occasions, giving evidence 20 times.
Hamish Egan
Associate Director, Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages
Hamish is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder with more than 15 years of experience including forensic accounting, business valuation, audit and corporate finance.
Olesya Prantyuk
Associate Director, Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages
Olesya Prantyuk is a Ukrainian and Russian speaking certified chartered accountant with more than 10 years’ experience in finance and accounting. She has acted as project manager on fraud investigation matters and damages calculations (valuations, loss of profits and wasted costs calculations).
Michael Laming
Associate Director, Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages
Michael Laming is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner with experience in national and international dispute resolution (both litigation and arbitration) and forensic investigations.
