Omar Abdul Hamid, Managing Consultant, Abu Dhabi
Omar has 10 years’ Contract Administration experience working in the construction industry on different types of projects for a Main Contractor. Omar has worked on many construction projects in the UAE including building and retail projects. Omar has a BEng (Civil Engineering) degree and a Master’s of Law in Construction Law and Arbitration. Omar is also a Member of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Certified Cost Professional by AACE International.
Eyad Aboseif, Associate Consultant, Minneapolis
Eyad Aboseif has a MS in Civil Engineering and 2+ years of experience providing construction management support. He joins HKA as Associate Consultant in the Minneapolis office.
Mahmoud Abougabal, Director, Dubai
Mahmoud has 15 years’ experience working in the construction industry. Mahmoud holds a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, a master’s degrees in project management in construction and infrastructure, and a master’s degree in construction law and dispute resolution. Mahmoud is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Mahmoud is a testifying delay expert with a wealth of experience working on local court disputes. He has prepared expert reports in English and in Arabic and has been cross-examined in the courts of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and in Saudi Arabia.
Pamela Bustos, Senior Consultant, Sydney
Pamela is a Project Manager with experience in design and build construction, enabling works and soft projects within the UK. She joins us from Transport for London where she provided end to end project management from procurement to completion.
Ahmed Elbarbari, Senior Associate Consultant, Los Angeles
Ahmed Elbarbari has more than 11 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. He joins HKA as Senior Associate Consultant in the Los Angeles office.
Candas Esin, Associate Director, Dubai
Candas has over 12 years’ extensive and diverse experience primarily in the fields of planning, programming, strategic advisory and claims management. Candas has provided assistance to the appointed solicitors and expert witnesses in the preparation of expert reports on major Rail Infrastructure and Hospitality projects. Candas also brings with him a wide range of experience in all facets of project planning and programming.
Candas has a BSc (Distinction) Civil Engineering degree and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Coupled with his master’s degree in Construction Management from Northeastern University in Boston and construction knowledge gained in various countries including the USA, Turkey, Qatar, KSA and the UAE, enabling him to deliver balanced opinions on the performance of those involved in projects, and objective appraisals of the appropriate or likely outcomes.
Amy Fitzgerald, Associate Director, New York
Amy Fitzgerald has more than 7 years of experience in Financial Advisory services. She joins HKA as Associate Director in the New York office.
Alan Glenister, Associate Director, Sydney
Alan is a hands-on planner/manager of teams who has worked in industries including Oil and Gas, Power generation, Railway, Mining, Airport and Data Centre construction. His roles are predominately in project and programme controls, but he also has the ability to work anywhere from field engineer to project manager. He joins us from Imagine the Future Consulting in the Netherlands.
Gagan Hegde, Senior Consultant, Melbourne
Gagan is an experienced construction management professional in the field of project management, specialising in project planning and controls as well as project advisory and audits. He joins us from CDI Experts where he was doing claims management, dispute resolution and litigation support.
Israa Issa, Manager, Mississauga
Israa Issa has 5 years of project management, and claims & dispute resolution experience. She joins HKA as a Manager in the Mississauga office.
Pamela Lian, Associate Consultant, Montreal
Pamela Lian has nearly 5 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. She joins HKA as Associate Consultant in the Montreal office.
Charles Manuel, Associate Director, London
Charles Manuel joins as Associate Director in the Advisory, Claims and Commercial Management team based in London. He has over 20 years experience in risk management and project controls across multiple sectors and numerous countries. In 2020, Charles developed, implemented and personally led the project controls function for Rail Baltica, a new High Speed Rail link between Estonia, via Latvia to Lithuania, sending a year living in Riga. Charles has also led risk management function on two of the UKs biggest infrastructure projects in Thames Tideway Tunnel and the Lower Thames Crossing and is passionate about mentoring and developing teams and increasing capability wherever he works.
Lea Niven-Smith, Business Support Administrator, Glasgow
Lea Niven-Smith joins as Business Support Administrator based in Glasgow. She has a wealth of experience in administration, and the co-ordination of projects, having worked in various industries including Learning and Development, HR and Recruitment, Higher Education, Sales and Events and most recently Rail and Plant hire. She is keen to use her existing skills in her new business support role to enhance and develop employee, and client experiences and relationships within the Glasgow Office. Outside of her career at HKA, Lea is a professional performer with a BA in Musical Theatre.
Douglas Oppman, Associate Director, Chicago
Douglas Oppman has more than 30 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. He joins HKA as Associate Director in the Chicago office.
