2023 Midwinter Meeting of the ABA Forum on Construction Law

HKA is a proud Silver Sponsor of the 2023 Midwinter Meeting of the ABA Forum on Construction Law being held on February 1–3 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. HKA is also proud to host the Women’s Networking Reception on February 2 at 5:30 pm. This year’s program, “Old World Meets New World: New Solutions to Timeless Problems,” will cover a range of topics of interest to both litigation and transactional practices of all experience levels. Attendees will learn from an all-star faculty how age-old problems can be solved with new techniques and approaches. Recent developments impacting the construction industry will also be discussed.

Governor Pedro Pierluisi of Puerto Rico will be speaking at the opening session. The governor, who is also a construction lawyer, will address the challenges of construction in Puerto Rico and what practitioners need to know about doing business in the country.

As part of the Forum’s continuing commitment to developing trial skills, the meeting will also feature part two of the Forum’s three-part series practicum on the construction trial in which practitioners will learn the fundamentals of openings and presenting evidence.
