HKA’s Claims Management Tool helps clients maintain compliance with clear oversight and control of claims

Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, construction and engineering works are already being disrupted by delays, site closures, and this is exacerbated as members of the project team are also being asked to work from home or alternatively forced to self-isolate. Developers, operators, contractors and other members of the supply chain are already reviewing their contractual arrangements, and that will undoubtedly see a significant rise in claims.   

In response, we have brought forward the launch of a new management aid for real-time progress monitoring and management of claims from any location, anywhere in the world. The HKA Claims Management Tool provides a clear picture of the status of every claim – for all projects and territories – in one place.

A key component of HKA’s Claims Governance Framework, the tool and its dashboards show the current status of each claim and progress at each stage of processing. It also gives instant access to related documents, requests for information (RFIs), minutes and reports, so HKA and client teams can collaborate more efficiently.

Developed by HKA Tech and our digital analytics team, the tool was to be officially launched later this year. Following calls from clients facing the repercussions of the pandemic on their projects and contract management, we have begun rolling out the tool to support them through this unprecedented disturbance.
