Peter Lau joins HKA as Technical Director

HKA, a leading global consultancy in risk mitigation, dispute resolution, expert witness and litigation support services, announced today that Peter Lau has joined the firm as a Technical Director as part of the Forensic Technical Services group in its Asia Pacific business.

Peter is a chartered engineer (railway and transportation) with over 30 years of engineering experience. He has been appointed as an expert witness and cross-examined on multiple engineering matters. He has worked for major transportation infrastructure providers, as well as contractors involved in marine and oil and gas projects.

Peter is a well-rounded engineering expert with a strong track record in forensic investigation and I’m delighted to welcome him to the team. His decades of engineering expertise will boost our technical expert service offering as HKA continues to grow its business in the region.”

With his extensive background in forensic investigation, design and system engineering, Peter previously led the Materials and Forensics Analysis Centre in one of the main public transport operators in Singapore. He has strong project management, design management and analytical skills, particularly in niche forensic analysis, to identify root causes of complex critical engineering problems.

In addition, Peter has had experience as a practising engineer in the design of mechanical systems in the oil & gas and marine sectors. He had successfully led teams to research, design and develop/ translate mechanical systems.
